When Is Ahsoka's Finale (& How Many Episodes Are Left) (2024)

The Star Wars Disney+ TV show Ahsoka is nearing its finale on Disney+, with seven episodes already released. Star Wars' TV shows have not only varied in quality since the launch of The Mandalorian in 2019, but they have also fluctuated massively in terms of episode count. The Mandalorian has been consistent with eight episodes in each season, but the same cannot be said for other live-action shows.

The Book of Boba Fett had seven episodes, Obi-Wan Kenobi had six, and Andor had 12. With Ahsoka the latest Star Wars TV show off the Lucasfilm production line, then, it raises the question of just how many episodes it has, when the finale releases, and whether it'll follow the format of any previous series. Since Ahsoka's place in the Star Wars timeline is around the same time as The Mandalorian, there's a lot to unpack in the story. There's the rising Imperial remnant and looming war, with Ahsoka's cast including the returns of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker and Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, among others. It's a lot to fit in, so does it's episode count allow for it?

When Ahsoka's Finale Releases On Disney+

The first two episodes of Ahsoka released on August 22, 2023, with the six subsequent episodes coming out weekly. This means the Ahsoka finale airs on Disney+ on Tuesday, October 3 at 6 pm PT / 9 pm ET / 2 am BST. Here is Ahsoka’s full episodic release schedule:

• Episode 3: Tuesday, August 29
• Episode 4: Tuesday, September 5
• Episode 5: Tuesday, September 12
• Episode 6: Tuesday, September 19

Though Ahsoka will finish in October, the future is bright for this part of the Star Wars galaxy. Ahsoka is very much setting up Dave Filoni's The Mandalorian movie, while there are more upcoming Star Wars movies and shows as well as that too, including Rey's New Jedi Order movie (with Daisy Ridley returning), James Mangold's Dawn of the Jedi film, and The Acolyte, a TV show set around 100 years before Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace.

Ahsoka runs for eight episodes in total - the same length as The Mandalorian. The first two episodes of Ahsoka premiered on Tuesday, August 22, at 6 pm PT / 9 pm ET / 2 am BST, before moving to a one-per-week schedule after that, which it has maintained throughout its run. Yes, that means there's now just one episode of Ahsoka left.

How Long Ahsoka's Episodes Are

According to Filoni, Ahsoka was written with similar runtimes to shows like The Mandalorian. This is only a rough measure, however, given episodes of The Mandalorian have had a wide range of runtimes. The first two seasons tended to be between 30-35 minutes, with some exceptions (such as The Mandalorian season 2, episode 5, which introduced the live-action Ahsoka in a 48-minute episode). The first two episodes of Ahsoka run for a combined hour and 36 minutes, and the runtimes have varied since, with the full list so far being (including credits):

• Ahsoka episode 1, "Master and Apprentice" - 57 minutes
• Ahsoka episode 2, "Toil and Trouble" - 44m
